Maasai Boat Orientation and Hot Rum Practice

Today, we are going to start orientation at 3:30pm to help familiarize some new members with our safety protocals. Then (immediately following) with boat call at 4:00pm (departure at 4:45pm) , we are going to be doing an inshore practice in preparation for hot rum series.

About the event
Today, we have a double event to help new members get ready to sail for the Hot Rum series in November! Boat orientation for new members starts at 3:30pm. Boat call for returning members to help prepare the vessel will be at 4:00pm (with departure from the dock at 4:45pm). We will cover all of the safety equipment, procedures, an overview of the sailing positions, and then do a fundamentals inshore practice. We will do some practice starts, and just worry about tacks and gybes.
